Training

Two sessions, each built around something your team keeps and uses afterward. The materials are the product; the session is how they get delivered.

Working with AI Tools: What to Expect, What to Require

About an hour plus questions, for any audience, technical and non-technical together.

  • What these tools are and aren't, and where they earn their keep.
  • Why they make things up. We treat this as an engineering problem with known fixes: grounding, a second check, the right model for the job.
  • What data may go where, and why the same model can be safe in one tool and not in another.
  • The three rules that make AI use safe in an organization that has to get it right: ground the work in real sources, review it in proportion to the risk, and the person who sends it owns it.
  • A live demonstration of a failure, and of the fix.

You keep: a one-page AI Use Standard covering what's allowed, data classes, disclosure and human review, plus a Quality Procedures checklist with three tiers of review matched to risk. Both are tuned to your existing policies and editable by anyone.

Coding with Agents Without Losing Control

One full day or two half-days, hands-on, for developers and the people who review their work.

Nobody can read every line an AI agent writes. What you can do is write down a system of checks and hold the gates. The course covers:

  • what the agent can see
  • repository instructions
  • skills: written procedures that travel between projects
  • process rules and review gates
  • what to log when things go wrong
  • how to roll it all out to a team

It ends with a lab where you install the gates in your own repository.

You keep: a starter library of five skills (review gate, repository setup, documentation-drift audit, release and changelog, session handoff), plus an instructions-file template and a decision-record template. The skills are plain Markdown and work with any agent, including ones you haven't chosen yet.

Training built for your team

If neither session fits, we'll build one that does. It can be for a particular role, like managers or a help desk, or for a particular tool your organization has already chosen, or for a problem you're trying to solve. Custom sessions follow the same pattern as the other two: something your team keeps, tuned to your policies, and delivered by the person who wrote it.

For everyone

Both sessions align with your existing policies rather than replacing them. If anyone on your team needs materials in a different format, captioning or other support to take part, just ask. There's no cost for it. Our equal opportunity policy covers accommodation.
