About
John Houser has spent 37 years in library and public-sector systems: systems administration, integration and development. Open-source software he wrote is still in production at Oregon library systems. Most recently he has been a senior systems administrator in the Multnomah County IT Division. In the last year he has rebuilt or extended more than ten internal applications there, most of them his own hand-written code, with AI help. He has also built a production web application with AI at its core and two games, and has written the process rules that keep AI-assisted work under a person's control. NouriLoop LLC is based in Astoria, Oregon.
How we work
- Plain talk. No hype about what AI can do, and no doom either. If a tool isn't right for the job, we'll say so.
- Your systems, your repositories, your review. Everything we build is documented and handed over. Nothing depends on us to keep running.
- Local when it helps. Based in Astoria, working across Clatsop County and the Pacific Northwest, in person when that's better.
Equal opportunity
NouriLoop LLC is an equal opportunity business. We don't discriminate, and we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment by anyone working on our behalf. Training materials are accessible, and accommodation is provided on request at no cost. Read our equal opportunity policy.
The name: you can nourish an organization the way you nourish a person: steadily, with the right inputs and a strong feedback loop.
