NouriLoop LLC

Equal Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination Policy

Applies to: NouriLoop LLC, its member, and any employee, subcontractor, or volunteer who performs work on its behalf; and to the delivery of all NouriLoop LLC services, including training, consulting, and software development.

1. Policy statement

NouriLoop LLC is an equal opportunity business. We do not discriminate, and we do not tolerate discrimination or harassment by anyone acting on our behalf, on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, age, physical or mental disability, marital or familial status, pregnancy, veteran or military status, genetic information, source of income, or any other characteristic protected by federal, Oregon, or applicable local law.

This commitment applies to everything we do: how we deliver services to clients and training participants, how we select and treat subcontractors and vendors, how we would recruit and employ staff, and how we conduct ourselves in client workplaces and in the community.

2. Legal basis

NouriLoop LLC complies with all applicable civil rights and anti-discrimination laws, including Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Oregon's anti-discrimination statutes (ORS Chapter 659A), and the non-discrimination requirements of any city, county, or public body with which we contract. Where a client's contract imposes additional non-discrimination, equal-opportunity, or accessibility requirements, we comply with them as a condition of the engagement.

3. Service delivery and training

  • Services and training are provided on equal terms to all participants.
  • Accessibility. Training materials are produced in accessible formats (readable structure, alt text, sufficient contrast, captions for recorded material on request). Reasonable accommodation for participation — including format, pace, assistive technology, or venue needs — is provided on request at no cost to the participant. Requests may be made before or during an engagement to the policy owner or to the client's designated contact.
  • Respectful environment. Sessions are conducted free of harassment, slurs, or demeaning material. The presenter will stop and address conduct that violates this policy.
  • AI tools and fairness. Where our work involves advising on or building AI-assisted processes, we advise clients against using such tools to make or recommend decisions about individuals without human review, and we flag discriminatory outcomes, bias in inputs, or disparate impact that we observe. This is part of the Quality Procedures we deliver.

4. Subcontractors, vendors, and any future employment

  • Subcontractors and vendors are selected on qualifications, quality, cost, and availability, without regard to any protected characteristic. We are open to working with businesses certified as minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, disability-owned, or emerging small businesses, and will give good-faith consideration to such businesses when subcontracting on public contracts.
  • Any subcontractor working on our behalf is bound by this policy as a term of engagement.
  • If NouriLoop LLC hires, recruitment, hiring, compensation, training, and all other terms of employment will be conducted in accordance with this policy and applicable law.

5. Harassment

Harassment on the basis of any protected characteristic — including unwelcome conduct, comments, imagery, or jokes, in person or through any medium — is prohibited. This applies to conduct toward clients, participants, subcontractors, members of the public, and anyone encountered in the course of our work.

6. Reporting and resolution

  • Anyone who believes this policy has been violated may report it to the policy owner at john@nouriloop.com or (541) 559-8353.
  • A person who is not comfortable reporting to the owner may instead report to the client organization's designated contact, who may raise it with NouriLoop LLC on their behalf, or may contact the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) Civil Rights Division or the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission directly.
  • Reports are taken seriously, handled as confidentially as the situation allows, and acknowledged within five business days. NouriLoop LLC will cooperate fully with any client or agency review.

7. No retaliation

Retaliation against anyone for reporting a concern in good faith, participating in a review, or requesting an accommodation is prohibited and is itself a violation of this policy.

8. Review

This policy is reviewed annually, on the renewal of any public contract that references it, and whenever applicable law changes. Changes are dated and the current version is the one on nouriloop.com.
